How Society Forces You to Pick a Side of Yourself Based on Skin Color - The Complexity of Multi-Cultural Identity

Danneal Castillo - Husband, Father, Associate Pastor, Masters of Science in Leadership and Development, and a Multi-Cultural Human Being,

Danneal Castillo is 44 years old, grew up in Arizona and has his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Masters of Science in Leadership and Development. He’s currently an Associate Pastor at a church and has been married to Andrea for 20 years, who is a white woman.

Both he and his wife have had to deal with racist views from family members on both sides; and has dealt with a lot of racist issues over the years in all sorts of settings; but has come to realize that most racist views are just rooted in ignorance. He and his wife have two wonderful biological children and adopted two Native American boys 7 years ago.
